KEC International Receives Fresh Orders of Rs 1,012 Crore From a Variety of Industries

KEC International Ltd, an engineering firm, has announced the acquisition of new orders worth Rs 1,012 crore, encompassing various segments of its business portfolio. The company’s civil business division secured contracts from new clients operating in the data center and FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sectors in India.

The projects awarded to the civil business division include the construction of a data center in Western India and the establishment of a manufacturing facility for a renowned global FMCG company in Southern India.

In addition, the transmission and distribution (T&D) segment secured projects both in India and the Americas. These projects involve a significant 765 kV transmission line order in India from an existing private client, as well as the supply of towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas.

KEC International’s cable division also secured orders for the supply of various cable types, serving both the Indian and overseas markets.

Vimal Kejriwal, MD and CEO of KEC International highlighted the diversification of the civil business’s customer base with the addition of marquee clients. He emphasized the significance of the data center construction order, underscoring the strong growth potential in this segment.

With the addition of these new orders, KEC International has achieved a year-to-date (YTD) order intake of over Rs 6,500 crore, marking an impressive growth of 11 percent compared to the previous year.

Shares of KEC International Ltd closed at Rs 668.40, reflecting a decrease of Rs 14.45, or 2.12 percent, on the BSE.
