Six new regional airlines have launched as a result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, according to Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia. Tuesday saw the debut of FLY91, a new airline that has operated in India for the last ten years. Supported by aviation veteran Manoj Chacko, the regional airline was essentially launched by civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
The airline’s executives announced that following its initial flight on Tuesday from Mopa in Goa to Agatti in Lakshadweep, it will start offering commercial services on March 18. The flights will connect Goa to Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Following the virtual inauguration, Scindia stated, “Airline closures and bankruptcy used to be news in our country.” Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direction, the aviation sector has seen a new era in the last ten years, leading to the establishment of six new regional airlines.
Scindia also emphasized the nation’s civil aviation industry’s multifaceted expansion. In addition to restating the government’s commitment to establishing connections between tier 2 and tier 3 cities under the Udey Desh ka Aam Naagarik (UDAN) project, he stated that the aviation sector anticipates increasing its domestic traffic from 6 crores in 2014 to 30 crores by 2030.

With two ATR 72-600s already in service, FLY91 anticipates adding six more in the following six months, according to the firm.

Manoj Chacko, managing director and chief executive officer, FLY9, said “Today marks a major milestone for FLY91 in our effort to make air travel more accessible as part of our vision for Bharat Unbound. We reiterate our commitment to our customers that FLY91 is aligned with the goal towards offering last mile connectivity and making air travel in India accessible, safe and reliable. We aim to be part of India’s ongoing economic transformation by creating robust regional connectivity which is crucial to economic growth.”
