Cleantech startup Exposome has secured Rs 10 crore in a pre-Series A funding round, led by Colossa Ventures, a women-focused venture capital firm. Other participants in the round included 3i Partners and existing investors, such as Rahul Rathi, Bhukhanvala Holdings, Excel Industries, and Spectrum Impact.
The capital infusion will be used to scale Exposome’s operations, expand its reach, and deliver innovative environmental solutions to clients across India and select international markets. According to a press release from the company, the funds will play a crucial role in driving its next phase of growth.
Founded in 2020 by entrepreneur Prerna Goradia, Mumbai-based Exposome has quickly established itself as a key player in the cleantech space, developing sustainable and cost-effective technologies aimed at capturing air emissions and treating wastewater. The company’s innovative molecular filters incorporate a patented regenerative process and advanced, customizable filter materials that are long-lasting and reusable. These solutions help industries isolate harmful contaminants, releasing cleaner air and water while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) guidelines.
Exposome’s product portfolio includes two flagship offerings: Pur-safe, an advanced molecular air filtration media that addresses air pollution, and PurCODe, a next-generation regenerable media designed to treat wastewater effluents. Both solutions are designed to be plug-and-play and can be deployed in a wide range of industrial sectors, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, oil refineries, cement, thermal power, textiles, leather, and paints.
The startup’s impact has grown steadily since its launch. To date, Exposome claims to have served more than 25 clients and deployed over 1,000 filters, helping companies meet environmental compliance and sustainability goals. Its solutions offer a cost-effective and efficient way for industries to address air and water pollution, two critical environmental challenges.
The recent funding round, led by Colossa Ventures, reflects growing investor confidence in Exposome’s ability to scale its business while contributing to sustainable development. With plans to expand its market footprint and enhance its product offerings, Exposome is well-positioned to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of environmental sustainability in India and beyond.
