According to the Center, this grant will support CfHE’s efforts to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in the healthcare industry even further.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad’s Center for Healthcare Entrepreneurship (CfHE) announced on Wednesday that it has received $9.6 million, or around Rs 80 crore, from Sushant Kumar, the founder of ESKEYN Ventures and the Tanushree Foundation.
The Center, a nationally renowned healthcare technology business incubator, hopes to enhance patient outcomes and solve unmet needs by accelerating the development and acceptance of innovative healthcare solutions with the help of this financing.
“The substantial investment will empower CfHE to expand its initiatives aimed at nurturing aspiring healthcare entrepreneurs, providing them with the resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities necessary to translate innovative ideas into impactful solutions,” Kumar said in a statement.
According to the Center, this grant will support CfHE’s efforts to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in the healthcare industry even further.
“With a vision for Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India, the CfHE has taken bold steps in addressing this gap through focused programmes in medical devices, development of human resources, and promotion of startups for indigenous development of medical devices and innovations,” said B.S. Murty, Director, IIT Hyderabad.
This partnership between business and academics, with a dedication to supporting indigenous growth and tackling unmet healthcare needs, has the potential to spark revolutionary advances that will benefit society as a whole, according to the CfHE.
