Unikon.ai, a new peer-to-peer networking platform founded by serial entrepreneur and investor Aakash Anand, has successfully raised $2 million in seed funding. The investment comes from a distinguished group of entrepreneurs and influencers, including Nikhil Kamath (Zerodha), Peyush Bansal (Lenskart), Vishesh Khurana (Shiprocket), Dholakia Ventures, Nitin Jain and Vasant Sridhar (OfBusiness), Gaurav Khatri (Noise), and others such as Tanmay Bhatt, Raj Shamani, Arjun Vaidya, Sharan Hegde (Finance with Sharan), Ganeshprasad (Thinkschool), Shlok Shrivastava (Techburner), and Rahul Malodia (Business Coach).

Describing the platform as “Unikon,” which stands for “you and I connect,” Aakash Anand shared with YourStory that it addresses accessibility issues by offering an open-source networking environment. Users create personalized profiles with customizable rates for audio calls, video calls, or direct messages based on their professional backgrounds. Connections for these interactions can be made within 24-48 hours or instantly.

Previously known for founding the direct-to-consumer brand Bella Vita Organic in 2018, which was later acquired by Ananta Capital supported by the Taparia family of Famy Care Group, Aakash Anand leads Unikon.ai. Assisting him are co-founders Palash Arneja, the Chief Operating Officer, a seasoned chartered accountant, and Sumit Jha, the Chief Technology Officer, who previously served as CTO of Zecpe before its acquisition by Cashfree in 2023.

Headquartered in Gurugram, Unikon.ai currently operates in India and plans to expand into the US market within three months. The platform aims to revolutionize networking by enabling users to monetize their time and expertise, addressing needs ranging from business development to personal support.
